No matter if your session is indoors or outdoors, morning, evening, or night (and if its a wedding, it will be a little of everything!), I use light in honest ways. Sometimes locations and moments are 'light and airy', sometimes they're 'dark and moody', and I'm happy to capture them beautifully either way. Being able to create meaningful portraits at any time of day is part of what defines my approach to photography, and my style.

1. I grew up along the coast, Big Sur and Monterey Bay (California) are still 'home' in my heart, but I have lived in Charlotte for 7 years and it is growing on me :) I keep trips to the carolina shores as frequent as possible!
2. most of my favorite venues are outdoors, whether its at the beach with a family or on a beautiful farm for a wedding- I love the spontaneous inspiration that the great outdoors provides!
3. Travel- I have a huge wanderlust. Especially to places where I don't speak the language. I've spent time abroad and enjoy it very much! my undergraduate degree is in Chinese (Mandarin) language. If you've got a special venue in mind, whether its in the U.S. or abroad, let's chat!
