First Birthday Portraits and Cake Smash | Charlotte Family Photographer, Jamie Lucido
When Baby Vihana’s mother contacted me for a first birthday portrait and cake smash session, I was excited to answer all of their questions and style the shoot in a way that made sense for their family. Usually, simple is best, to keep our sessions quick and babies happy. But this family had so many ideas, that we ended up shooting for two hours instead of one, with many props (basket, balloons, flowers, mirror, toys, bubbles, an outfit change, and cake– oh, my!), and their sweet little girl was so patient with all of it! Happily, grandma was also available to join in for our shoot, which also made it special. I LOVE it when I get the opportunity to create images with three generations!
When mom told me she needed images fast, I made that happen, too. In less than 1 week, their entire gallery was delivered, and available for printing. Its a great feeling when you can bring a family a fun experience, exceed their expectations, and provide them with beautiful memories. Happy Birthday, Baby V!
