One of the great things about being a wedding photographer is spending time with each couple, hearing their love story, and getting to know them on a personal level before the big day.  An engagement session is a big part of that process, because we get to chat more and build trust, while having fun and creating gorgeous images.

I offer a few different types of engagement sessions:  traditional (where we meet at one location and I guide you through natural poses and authentic interaction), and lifestyle/action (where we visit multiple locations, and I capture more documentary moments as you enjoy yourselves doing what you love).  I’ve had couples who wanted to recreate their proposal, play their favorite sport or game, get dressed up and go Uptown, snuggle in with cocoa on their own couch at home, cook together, walk the dogs at a beautiful park, or shoot at their family property.. there really are no rules, when it comes to documentary and lifestyle sessions.  We pick the places and activities you enjoy most, and your only job is to have fun together!

I met Lindsay and Quinn at the Bridal Showcase and felt a connection right away- sometimes you just ‘click’ and everything falls into place!  They knew they wanted their engagement session outdoors, during Spring.  All the flowers were just coming in, and the colors were vibrant and beautiful, it was a perfect day for a casual outdoor session.
