Family Photography: First Birthday | Doljanchi | Hatsu Tanjo

Imagine my delight, when I arrived at the Olde Mecklenburg Brewery for a birthday party, and met the happiest family in the world! 😉  Really, they had a LOT to be happy about: surrounded by friends and family, amazing decorations and food that honored their Japanese and Korean traditions, all to celebrate sweet Lana’s first birthday!

Little Lana started off the afternoon in her gorgeous hanbok for a few portraits, then changed into an adorable lace and tulle birthday dress.  Lush floral arrangements were created by Lily Florals by Ngoc Phan.  Delightful cookies and a beautiful cake were provided by Suarez Bakery.  Decorations by Extravaganza, and catering from Seoul Food Meat Co.

Every thoughtful detail, from the rice cakes to the doljabi/erabitori (she selected a computer mouse, symbolizing technology!) was a true joy to document.
