Its time for new baby photography! Spring is here and our neighborhoods are blooming- an ideal time for enjoying an outdoor porch or neighborhood session 🙂

Take a peek at this sweet little girl and her mamma- they also happen to be my neighbors and treasured friends. We had a blast in her front yard and down by the water, celebrating her 9 month milestone!

Families contact me all the time for a photo session with their baby, and ask about timing and props. My answer is always the same- I do have a preference on timing, due to the best kind of natural light and locations we have available at this time of year. But, baby’s happiness is also a factor- so we try to find a balance between timing and their schedule. As for props- less is more! A blanket and a small neutral colored toy is great. Don’t get bogged down with lots of pinterest-inspired ideas and logistics- trends come and go, but we want your photos to stand the test of time.

My sessions focus on baby and your relationship, without a lot of distractions. So take it easy on yourselves! Dress in simple coordinating neutrals and enjoy the moment together.
