Growing up along the coast in California, I never realized how amazing the seasons were, until I moved East. The East Coast has some spectacular displays, and this year in North Carolina was gorgeous but quick! For about 10 days, the leaves were BRILLIANT.
This was a session from last week with the Goldenberg Family. Timed perfectly- and conveniently- in our own neighborhood. We live along the water, so we took advantage of the beautiful reflections, the open field of our neighborhood playground, and added a little variety with some tall grasses in an overgrown parking lot at the front of our neighborhood. Yep, you read that right- the last couple of pictures here were taken in one of those spots you drive by a million times and never pay attention to (unless you’re like me, and drool at those hidden gems along the side of the road) 😉 Sweet spots are everywhere, when you’re looking for them!
I knew this would be a fun session, when the first thing big brother said to me was, “I love photography, and taking pictures!” With that kind of enthusiasm, there was no way we could go wrong. And check out the cutest freckles on his sweet sister!

You are right, we definitely didn’t have much of a fall here in the Carolinas but you caught it. This family sessions looks amazing. They family looks so good together. I am sure they were pleased with the photos.
I definitely take seasons for granted, I never really thought about how some places don’t really have them. That day looks like perfection, look at the colors of those leaves! What a gorgeous family. They picked their photographer well!
