Senior Session & Family Portraits | Jamie Lucido Photography

It might be just a strange coincidence, but I’m definitely noticing a trend these past couple of years: whenever I have a parent calling me to schedule a Senior Portrait for their SON, they also want to do a family session at the same time (my answer is always yes! I call it the Hybrid Senior/Family session).   It hardly ever happens that way for Senior girls, but always for senior boys- go figure!  I think it takes the pressure off the boys, not being solo in front of the camera, and we make it fun for the whole family.  Two birds with one stone, as they say..  🙂

This family was no exception.  Mom had some fun ideas (she requested one with the whole family peeking from behind a tree, and Collin showcasing some mad multi-tasking skills with his basketball, book, and shoes– he did it, no photoshopping here!).  We created some relaxed portraits with the whole family, and also got some great shots with Collin by himself.

There’s something about a bigger group that makes senior portraits a lot more relaxed, when everyone’s in for picture day, I love it 🙂   It also happened to be Collin’s birthday that day, which may account for our good luck with the weather (it was misting, but didn’t rain on us!).
